Job Description
We are looking for a talented, creative, enthusiastic interior designer to join the Theory Design team.
Key Responsibilities
· Communicate and work with clients throughout the interior design process
· Source interior finishes, hard and soft furnishings, lighting and interior details
· Create and execute design concepts, interior detail drawings and presentation materials
· Create finish schedules and keep organized records of project details
· Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
· Assist with order placement and management
· Oversee project installations
· Maintain an overall luxury experience by supporting clients with expertise and courtesy
· Maintain a thorough knowledge of market design trends
· Complete projects on schedule and within established budgets
· Work on client projects as well as in-house projects
· Help manage materials library
· Work with contractors and vendors
Skills and Requirements
· Degree in Interior Design or related field preferred
· 2-5 years design experience; Residential experience preferred
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Ability to take direction as well as work independently and meet deadlines
· Superior presentation and communications skills, both verbal and written
· Ability to identify clients’ needs and provide a first-class client experience
· Attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills
· Strong artistic skills, including hand rendering and sketching capabilities preferred
· Knowledge of interior finishes, furniture, codes and construction processes
· NCIDQ Certification preferred
