SEAGATE DEVELOPMENT GROUP OVERVIEW

Seagate Development Group is a leading, full-service development company specializing in a design-build process via new construction, custom renovations, interior design, and management and leasing services. The company’s reputation continues to grow among architects, interior designers, real estate agents, engineers, tenants and clients. 

As leadership team members continue to deliver quality products and a customer experience that exceeds expectations, they are committed to several high-profile and high-end projects that will permanently change the Southwest Florida landscape as well as the most desirable communities this side of the Gulf Coast. 

Projects include building and designing NeoGenomics’ $60-million global headquarters and Scotlynn USA Division Inc.’s 60,000-square-foot North American corporate headquarters as well as managing over 1.5 million square feet of office space. 

Additionally, Seagate is remodeling homes in Estuary at Grey Oaks and Pelican Bay, Shadow Wood, Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, and on Boca Grande. The team recently completed a total home remodel of a 5,487-square-root residence in Quail West and continues to develop furnished models at Esplanade Lake Club, Hill Tide Estates, Quail West, and in the Isola Bella neighborhood at Talis Park. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Communicates and works with clients throughout the interior design process. 
  2. Sources interior finishes, hard and soft furnishings, lighting and interior details. 
  3. Creates and executes design concepts, interior detail drawings and presentation materials. 
  4. Creates finish schedules and keeps organized records of project details. 
  5. Coordinates multiple projects simultaneously. 
  6. Assists with order placements and management. 
  7. Oversees project installations. 
  8. Maintains an overall luxury experience by supporting clients with expertise and courtesy. 
  9. Completes projects on schedule and within established budgets. 
  10. Works on client projects as well as in-house projects. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Maintains a thorough knowledge of market design trends. 
  2. Helps manage materials library. 
  3. Works with contractors and vendors.

Quality Communication: 

The Interior Designer must have superior presentation and communication skills, both in verbal and written form, as well as be able to take direction and work independently to meet deadlines. 

Artistic Abilities: 

The Interior Designer must have strong artistic skills, including hand-rendering and sketching capabilities. 

Customer Service Skills: 

The Interior Designer must be able to identify clients’ needs and provide a first-class experience to clients via attention to detail and outstanding problem-solving skills. 

Computer Skills: 

To perform this job successfully, the Interior Designer must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 

Education/Experience:

Two to five years of design experience, with residential experience preferred; knowledge of interior finishes, furniture, codes and construction process; degree in interior design or related field preferred. 

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license

NCIDQ certification (preferred)

  1. Assists Vice President of Design and interior designers. 
  2. Prepares and updates finish schedule and various design presentations. 
  3. Communicates redlines on behalf of designers. 
  4. Organizes multiple projects, including information flow, communication, documents and samples. 
  5. Assists with ordering and paying for furniture, follows up on lead times, and coordinates deliveries and installations. 
  6. Facilitates warranty claims. 
  7. Maintains showrooms and organizes samples. 
  8. Interacts with clients. 
  9. Creates customer proposals. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Assists with client billing. 
  2. Assists with furniture installs. 
  3. Picks up samples and miscellaneous items. 
  4. Conducts additional office management dues and administrative tasks. 

QUALIFICATIONS

The Interior Design Assistant must be a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, exceptional organizational skills.

To perform this job successfully, the Interior Design Assistant must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. 

Education/Experience:

Three-plus years of experience at an interior design company; high school diploma and two to four years of postsecondary education.

Seagate is currently builder custom, end-user residences at Esplanade Lake Club, Hill Tide Estates, Quail West and in the Isola Bella neighborhood at Talis Park. The team is also remodeling homes throughout Lee and Collier counties, including on Boca Grande and Sanibel. 

Seagate’s commercial projects include NeoGenomics’ $60-million global headquarters and Scotlynn USA Division Inc.’s 60,000-square-foot North American corporate headquarters as well as managing over 1.5 million square feet of office space. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manages and supports interior design team to ensure all client expectations are met. 
  2. Coordinates project plans, teams, budgets and schedules. 
  3. Onboards new clients, sets processes and experience expectations, and develops and nurtures positive ongoing client relationships. 
  4. Oversees design deliverables to ensure design objectives are met and studio brand and level of quality are maintained. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Supports and interacts with lead designers, project managers, clients, vendors and subcontractors to prepare project scopes and fee proposals. 
  2. Manages and updates design resource library. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Organizational Skills: 

The Interior Design Manager must be highly organized when it comes to every phase of multiple projects; must pay attention to detail. 

Computer Skills: 

The Interior Design Manager must be proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office as well as have experience with Design Manager. 

Education/Experience:

Seven-plus years of experience in luxury residential interior design and construction required; at least two to three years of experience in business management, with a focus on resource management, project management, client expectation management and client interaction required; advanced knowledge of interiors and architectural/construction building materials and finishes, methods and processes of construction, specifications, detailing standards and construction techniques required; experience in furniture and materials resources, specifications and procurement required.
