Theory Design Creating Custom Interiors for Remodeling Projects in Naples and Bonita Bay

Fort Myers Theory Design’s Vice President of Design Ruta Menaghlazi and Interior Designer Cynde Thompson are creating custom interior designs for a beachfront condominium in Naples and a high-rise residence in Bonita Bay that are being remodeled. Mike Vitte Construction is the contractor for both projects. The beachfront condominium in Naples is located at Sea Point at Seagate Beach. The project involves a full remodel except for the master bedroom and the master bath that were recently renovated. Cynde is working directly with the client to finalize the design and to make finish selections.

“The condominium building is situated on the beach and the residence faces the Gulf of Mexico,” said Ruta. “It’s a beautiful setting that conveys the feeling of standing right on the sand. To enhance that feeling even further, we’re enclosing six feet of the terrace and moving the interior living area out to create a more intimate connection with the beach.”

Ruta’s transitional design style will incorporate cleaner lines with more traditional elements and a touch of modern. The furnishings, including the client’s treasured classic pieces, will play against a neutral color pallet, new five-inch wide medium toned wood flooring, and white kitchen cabinetry.

The high-rise residence at Bonita Bay is located at the Horizon tower and owned by a couple from Ohio. Furnishings owned by the client are being incorporated in the design. The bedrooms are being refreshed with new carpeting and paint. A spectacular custom designed bar in the living room will include a display wall for the client’s Scotch collection. At the client’s request, Mike Vitte Construction designed a custom television system that is incorporated in the feature liquor wall. When the clients are ready to watch, the television is lowered from the ceiling and then raised back up for storage when the viewing session is over. The design in the husband’s office is being customized around his multiple liquor collections.

“The custom bar and liquor display wall in the living room will be stunning,” said Cynde. “The colors and unique shapes of the Scotch bottles will provide strong visual interest. Mike Vitte Construction’s custom design for the television system is brilliant and functions exactly the way the client had in mind. With the various liquor collections, the husband’s custom office will also offer unique visual appeal.”

“I have had the pleasure of working with the ladies of Theory Design,” said Mike Vitte. “Mike Vitte Construction has been in Naples building and renovating high end homes and condos for 30 years. It’s truly a pleasure to work with the design professionals at Theory Design. The staff comes along as team members to help solve some of the most difficult building and design challenges. As team members we take pleasure and pride in our work to give our clients the best products. Together we strive for excellence to exceed expectations while working within schedule and budget restraints.”

In addition to its remodeling project in Naples and Bonita Springs, Theory Design is creating the interiors for Seagate Development Group’s luxurious models in Miromar Lakes Beach & Golf Club, Quail West, Talis Park, and Esplanade Lake Club. Seagate’s Burrata model is currently under construction at Miromar Lakes. Two new models at Quail West, the completed Streamsong model and the Oak Hill model that will be completed in October, feature interiors by Ruta Menaghlazi. Seagate’s completed Sonoma and Monterey models in the Isola Bella neighborhood at Talis Park also showcase interiors by Ruta. Ruta, Lead Designer Adriene Ged, and interior designer Cynde Thompson have finalized the interior designs for Seagate’s Santorini and Genova models that are currently under construction at Esplanade Lake Club. Both models will debut in April 2021. The designers also created the interior for Seagate’s completed Monaco model that is now open for viewing and purchase at Esplanade Lake Club.

Seagate’s furnished Captiva model in Hill Tide Estates at Boca Grande is also open for viewing and purchase and features an interior design by Ruta Menaghlazi. Theory Design was named recipient of a 2019 Aurora Award for the Captiva’s interior in the Best Interior Design of a Home Priced over $2 million category. Seagate was presented an Aurora Award for the Captiva in the Best Single-Family Detached Home Over 4,000 Square Feet category. Ruta also created the interior for Seagate’s furnished Bal Harbour model that is now under construction at Hill Tide Estates.

Seagate’s completed models that feature interiors by Theory Design are open for viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Theory Design also created the interior for a new two-story, 13,000 square-foot office building that serves as the corporate headquarters for both Theory Design and Seagate Development Group. The new corporate headquarters is located at 9921 Interstate Commerce Drive, Fort Myers, Florida 33913. For additional information, visit TheoryDesign.com.
