The Shop Manager will provide full oversight of the Theory Design Home Interior shop in Boca Grande. Providing concierge level of service to everything you do.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Oversee all operations of the Home Décor and Interior Design shop.
2. Inventory
3. Sales
4. Prospect Data Collection
5. Work with Director of Design to ensure inventory meets local demand
6. Work with Director of Marketing to plan and assist with local events to drive engagement.
7. Coordinate the tracking of prospects with the intent to drive leads for full interior design and furnishing clients.
8. Assist with the merchandising of the showroom
9. Place orders and inventory tracking
10. Maintain shop supplies and coordinate the receiving of incoming inventory
11. Social media posting support as needed
12. Additional office management and administrative tasks

REQUIREMENTS

1. 5+ years’ experience in retail home décor sales
2. 2+ years’ experience in retail management
3. Proficient in POS software and Outlook
4. Must be detail oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills
5. Strong communication skills
6. Excellent customer service skills and experience
7. Ability to determine client needs and vet the key contacts that could lead to full interior design and furnishing opportunities

INTERIOR DESIGNER CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Identifies and fully understands the client scope of work.
2. Communicates and works with clients throughout the entire interior design process.
3. Sources interior finishes, hard and soft furnishings, lighting, and interior details.
4. Creates and executes design concepts, interior detail drawings and presentation materials.
5. Reviews finish schedules and keeps organized records of all project details.
6. Generates complete Interior Design documents based on Theory ID standards.
7. Coordinates multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Ensures accurate and timely order placements and ongoing management.
9. Leader with full oversight of design project installations.
10. Maintains an overall luxury experience by supporting clients with expertise and courtesy.
11. Tracks project time daily and completes projects on schedule and within established budgets.
12. Coordinates with Project Managers & ensures construction needs are met in a timely manner.
13. Ensures project work is accurately recorded, billable time is documented, and reviews bi-monthly invoices prior to client submission. Invoice review with clients as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintains a thorough knowledge of market design trends.
2. Helps manage materials library.
3. Works in close harmony with contractors and vendors.

Education/Experience:

Minimum of 10 years as lead interior designer, with residential new construction experience required; knowledge of interior finishes, furniture, codes and construction process; degree in interior design or related field preferred.

THEORY DESIGN OVERVIEW

1. Receiving of inventory, check for damage, file claims, RTV’s, label and organize.
2. Delivery and Pickup: Driving to suppliers and vendors, clients, and other locations to pick up and deliver items as needed.
3. Assist with furnishing installations.
4. Ability to drive a truck and assemble furniture as well as hang art pieces, mirrors and other small handyman tasks that may be required.
5. General office support; trash removal, furniture cleaning, stocking, supply orders etc.
6. Communicates and works with designers throughout the installation.
7. Coordinates multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Positive Image: clear and professional communication with the design team.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Minor furniture repairs
2. Disposal of packing materials and trash
3. Office facility assistance; cleaning, supplies, maintenance, and more
4. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

1. 21 Years or older
2. Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
3. Able to lift 70+ pounds
4. Continuous standing, lifting, and bending

1. Work closely with Designers’ and Design Assistants.
2. Procurement of furnishing, fixtures, fabric, wallcoverings and equipment and research on sourcing products for multiple projects.
3. Heavy phone calls to follow up on orders, shipping, delivery dates, etc.
4. Preparing purchase orders and entry into Design Manager software
5. Matching invoices with purchase orders and delivery tickets.
6. Assist with maintaining client, subcontractor, supplier, and vendor files.
7. Plan, schedule, and forecast procurement activities
8. Purchase general and specialized materials as directed by designers, and subcontractor services for construction projects.
9. Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure the correct materials and subcontractor services are ordered and/or purchased.
10. Maintain project files for multiple projects.
11. Invite estimates, consult with suppliers, and review quotations with design team.
12. Determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards as directed.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
2. Must be able to relate and coordinate with the finance department project funding needs on a weekly basis.
3. Must know how to create reports in MS Excel and understand the Schedule of Values and budgets.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

1. Must have knowledge and purchasing background
2. Must have some accounting knowledge
3. Ability to learn or have experience working with Design Manager software is a Plus!
4. Must have at least 2 years’ experience in general furnishing purchasing duties.
5. Must have computer literacy, including strong experience in MSWord, MS Excel (spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc.). Design Manager software experience is a plus.
6. Ability to work under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.
7. Good written and verbal communication skills
8. Strong organizational skills a must, the ability to work independently with strong multitasking abilities.
9. Knowledge of the project structure in a client/consultant business environment.
10. Interior Design knowledge is required.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance Manager directs and supervises the complete accounting system and financial function of the design firm. This includes charges, billing, A/R, cash receipts, collections, A/P, payroll, general ledger, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, and audits.
 

1. Ensure updated and accurate financial records.
2. Responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
3. Oversight of furnishing purchases.
4. Oversight of all orders.
5. Preparing purchase orders and entry into Design Manager software.
6. Assist with maintaining client, subcontractor, supplier, and vendor files.
7. Plan, schedule, and forecast procurement activities
8. Purchase general and specialized materials as directed by designers, and subcontractor services for construction projects.

REQUIREMENTS

1. MUST be fluent in Design Manager Software. This is specific to the Interior Design Industry. Resumes without Design Manager experience will not be considered.
2. Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
3. Must be able to relate and coordinate with the finance department project funding needs on a weekly basis.
4. Must know how to create reports in MS Excel and understand the Schedule of Values and budgets.

EDUCATION & SKILLS

1. A in Business or Finance is preferred with experience in the procurement process
2. Must have knowledge of and purchasing background
3. Must have at least 5 years’ experience in accounting and finance
4. Must have computer literacy, including strong experience in MSWord, MS Excel (spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc.)
5. Ability to work under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities.

We then collaborate with you, your Architect and Builder as well as the Landscape Designer to create a functional plan that reflects the Design Concept. We create your color scheme and interior details. We select and specify every element of your home down to the smallest detail. As a Design Assistant, you will be working closely with the design team to implement project designs in collaboration with the VP of Design and Senior Designers. This role assists in all aspects of the design process from sourcing FF&E, developing schedules, processing work orders, developing client presentations, working in AutoCAD and other administrative responsibilities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Vice President of Design
• Organize multiple projects including information flow, communication, documents, samples.
• Prepare and update finish schedules and various design presentations.
• Develop and prepare for client presentations.
• Research and sourcing furnishings and interior finishes.
• Assist with furniture ordering and payment, follow-up on lead times, coordinate deliveries and installations.
• Enter and maintain project budgets.
• Assist with client billing and VP of Design billable hours.
• Create customer proposals.
• Assist with furniture installations and interior photo shoots.
• Interact with clients.
• Pick up samples and miscellaneous items.
• Assist Associate and Lead Designers with various design and administrative tasks related to all phases of high-end interior design from initial planning through to project completion
